I dont know. But it is definitely there. There is tension between traditional Asians (China, Korea, etc) and Blacks as well as tension between the newly classified as Asians (Indian, Pakistan, etc) and Blacks. This is a damn good question. I dont have an answer, but Im curious as to what people think.

Not to start a controversy, but it may be because the media looks at racial controversy as "us v. them." Where "us" are white Americans and "them" refers to all non-whites. So "them v. them" conflicts get less air play because there is no "us" involved.

Maybe Asians are lovable? (I'm not Asian, but live now in Asia for 10 years - my wife is a filipina). Taiwan and China have their tensions, but in Philippines the only tensions are between religions and political. Maybe that's because filipinos come in all colors from the color of your tires to chalk white.
