say the speed of slower car be x
then speed of faster care is x+30
in one hr they move towards each other by x+x + 30 or 2x+30
in 6hr they move
6(2x+30)
as they meet and distance is 600
so 6(2x+30) = 600 is the equation
you can simplify or leave as it is based on requirement
to solve it
2x+30 = 100
x= 35
so speed of solwer car is 35 and of faster is 65

let the rates be a & b
a-b=30
a=b+30
they are aproaching at a+b miles per hr so
600/(a+b)=6hrs
100=a+b
100=b+30+b
2b=70
b=35
a=b+30=35+30=65
check
after 6 hrs, car A has gone 6*65=390 miles
car B has gone 6*35=210 miles
total 390+210=600 miles & they meet.
Driver B must be a little old lady :)

d2 = v2 . t
d = d1 + d2
d = v1 . t + v2 . t

600 - 180 = 12 x
420 = 12 x

v1 = 35 miles/hour
