my girl friend.......we were out with her boyfriend and me....and at the end of the date the bill came to about £60...and he offered to pay the bill...and then I offered him half the bill (£30)...and he didnt want it...and then she said : I'll have it !!!!.......and then she bagged the £30....I dont care about £30.....but why did she do that...? I thought it was a bit funny , what do you think?

Two couples were having dinner together. The other guy offered to pay the whole bill, and you offered to pay half (which was correct by my calculations). He didn't want to do it that way, and so yr girlfriend took the 30pounds right OUT OF YR Hands.
Now- I get it . She took the money you wanted to pay half of the bill with. No- yr not over re-acting! Doesn't she work? Is she that hungry for money?

i would say that it might've been a joke. Especially if their was an unsteady mood about who was gonna pay the bill. she could've just done that to ease the tension.
