Dirty Dancing...still the best movie ever made..I can watch it every day. I already know the dialogue by heart so if I was alone on the island with nothing I could still be entertained.
The Jerk...makes me laugh every time I watch it
Steel Magnolias......laugh, cry, laugh,cry a lot,laugh

I agree with ur theory about movies.
The Old Man and the Sea - because it shows endurance and strength and takes the old wives tale of I caught a "big one and it got away" and throws it out the window.
Gone With the Wind - because the story of Tara was great and how important it is to own land in America and how important it is for family to stick together no matter what adversity comes along.
John Wayne's, She Tied a Yellow Ribbon - because it demonstrated the courage of fighting for what is right and getting the girl in the long run is worth it. And that even the strong or the brave can show love and mercy yet be tough.
I liked this poll keep them coming!!!

#1Any Bud Abbot and Lou Costello movie but "Buck Privates" is my favorite because of the dice game sequence, plus the music of the Andrew Sisters was great. Can i have an mp3 of them doing Whos on First? it still cracks me up (see link)
#2 Dancing with Wolves (its just a Great Movie)
#3 Titanic (because i am a hopeless romantic)
