Traffic lights are often sequenced to the legal speed limit, if you exceed the speed limit then chances are they will all change to red on you as you approach them.
Think about it, how often have you been driving the speed limit only to have some idiot speed past you, then you catch up with them waiting at a red light as it turns green when you approch it?

Traffic lights are set in a sequence......For instant, if you find a light green and you just keep driving at a pace of 60km/h then your bound to catch only one light red....But because your in a hurry,you drive as quickly as possible and not at a constant speed limit...

Lol, Everyone who drives to work will have spent 2/3 of the entire time from home to work stopped in a %4*&^% ing red light. Its true ! I feel your pain!.

It's very simple. All traffic lights have a radar detector in it, and when it spots you, speeding, it changes the light to red, just to mess with you.
(Note, it also reads license plates, and this ONLY happens to your car! Aren't you special!!!)

Karma. Well that and you are driving too fast causing you to hit all the lights because they are timed for someone going the speed limit.
