I haven't been to Europe...but my thought is...

Florence, Italy. or Rome, Italy.

Italy has such a rich culture and there are so many beautiful things to see...especially sculptures, etc. from the Renaissance.

Check the city's out on Wikipedia:

Florence: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florence

Rome: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rome

...just look at the pictures and you can't say it's not beautiful right?

Europe is HUGE! It's impossible to say what's pretty - it's all a matter of personal opinion.

Okay, I love Athens - it has a great history which can be a bit overwhelming, but it isn't pretty.

Prague - great but there are other cities of equal beauty such as Krakow and Bratislava, not to mention Budapest.

London? Not pretty at all but great to visit, lots to see and do, fantastic people, excellent food - but that goes for most of Britain too! The Lake District in North West England is breathtaking, as are the Yorkshire Dales.

I'd suggest you spend a couple of hours having a look around the internet. There's no such thing as the prettiest city - it depends what you're looking to get out of your trip.

Prague, Czech Republic. The city is beyond beautiful since it did not suffer anywhere near as much damage as other European capitals during WWII.

Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic (If you ever watched Hostel, this is the town where it was filmed) Krumlov is a nice laid back place with a stream going around it which you can take an inner tube around when the weather is right.

There are many beautiful cities in Europe and you should choose based on your own preferences. I personally like Barcelona a lot - amazing architecture, great night life, great cultural life, friendly people, good food and dead cheap.
