Oktoberfest is good, so is the Stampede - lots of action and a friendly atmosphere at both of those events. If you can't connect there, try the theatre - there are all sorts of plays, musical presentations, operas etc.etc.etc. and there are traditionally more women then men at those events.

Bring suitcases full of cash and be prepared to line up behind mainland Chinese who are using Canadian land purchases to launder the black money they smuggled out of China.
