i have to write a paper on three of edgar allen poe's works?

Question

i have to write a paper on these works by edgar allen poe: " the raven", "the tell tale heart", and "the philosophy of composition." it can be on anything that has to do with these works. it can be about all of them, or two of them, or just one of them. it really doesnt matter it can be about anything, but i just cant think of anything at all to write about. does anyone have any ideas? anything would be greatly appreciated. :)

How about the effects of a guilty conscience (The Tell Tale Heart")? There is plenty of information available on the subject, literary as well as scientific, readily tied to Poe's graphic and compelling tale.

As for The Raven, I did my own high-school term paper on that once. Perhaps you could explore dark references within the text. What did that bird mean by "nevermore", anyway? Symbolism within The Raven is a good topic for discussion. I suggest you start with the Cliff Notes, which are very good.
