Why is it the government's responsibility to censor the film industry? Are they also to approve of what is printed or painted? Just because films tend more entertain more than educate, does not mean that they are any less deserving of the label art. While it is true that most films are meant for fun, some do make a statement. At what point does one person’s morality override another’s? When a government steps in to stop one film from being made, that is one more step on a short road to fascism. It is a parents’ responsibility to decide what their children should see, a government has more pressing things to deal with.

The Censor Board is responsible for deleting objectionable scenes/dialogues from movies. But they are passing almost anything in the name of art & freedom of expression. We shd educate youngsters & develop in them a good sense of understanding. Films are just one form of visual media & children hav access to so many other forms.

Or can they just make ratings like PG-13 and not allow kids to rent or see these shows in theatres. Seems easier.
