Soak with 3 1/2 cups of white vinegar. Hold fingers over bottom of steam unit and fill will tap water thru the top opening, Shake good, repeat several times.

Note: To Disinfect the reservoir, fill with water and add 1 teaspoon of bleach per gallon of water u added

Use lime away to clean. Just follow directions on container. When using, sprinkle a pinch of salt in the water reservoir. This keeps the vapor going without the unit sputtering.

1/4 cup of baking soda, dissolved in full contents of water that the unit holds, rinse and then do the same thing with vinegar, squeaky clean and fresh.

I heard you can put salt and ice in it and swirl it around. I bought my mom one to use because she is always congested and she said it worked good cleaning it that way. Good luck :)
