I don't think so, I'm just not a vengeful person. I believe murder is wrong no matter who is wielding the sword, even if it's our government. My other issue with the death penalty is that our judicial system is corrupt. It seems like its not about the truth once they walk into that courtroom, but about winning a case, and making a name for yourself at the expense of the public. Not to say that the corruption is only in the courts, it's everywhere. As a result of that, guilty people walk free and innocent people end up in jail. I can't even guess as to how many innocent people have been put to death in this country over the years. It's just, it's hard enough to hear that someone has been wrongly imprisoned for the past 20 years...but when they were wrongly executed...
However I do think that a person that commits ANY type of hate crime should spend time in jail, and get some court mandated long term therapy.

Well, I am a Christian, but I also believe in the death penalty. If someone has taken a life then they need to be held accountable for what they've done. That I think is one problem with our society today. Prisoners are let out for "good" behavior only for some to go right back out there and commit a crime once again. I know some can be reformed, but while in prison they are given too many rights. Hope this helps some!

I believe in "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth"
It is easy to misunderstand this passage. The passage of Exodus 21:15-35 is not a passage for individual conduct. It is a passage for the government of Israel and its judges. It contains a statement of the principle of fairness and a limit on retaliation. In the Latin language it is called "lex tallionis" or the law of retaliation.
In the new testament Jesus says,
Matthew 5:38-42
38 "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' 39 But I say to you, Do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also; 40 and if any one would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak as well; 41 and if any one forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42 Give to him who begs from you, and do not refuse him who would borrow from you.
So yes I agree that when the law finds someone guilty of murder his punishment should be death.
But in cases of personal conflicts not taken to court Jesus way should be practiced.
peace....

i think it is better to put them into jail because then they will be beat up and suffer everysingle day of their lives because, if they die, they wont suffer anymore, but since theyre going to hell they will
but lets make it better by letting them suffer on earth and then suffering forever in hell and i will laugh and kick their grave
....and then pray for the victim (and family) of these stupid hate crimes

They should definately get punished. Death is only one way. They should face themselves with life in prision.
Ok, what I mean is time is the best thing for them to contemplate their actions and theirselves.

I don't know about death, but life in prison should be necessary, without visits, & NO BAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cause the person could realize how wrong they are.
