It worked fine until he boxed it up and now when he hooked it back up, it is VERY dim, you can BARELY make things out and Ive tinkered with the brightness and everything, nothing seems to work. Ive even tested it on other computers. Same results, how do I fix this?

I had this happen to me, it worked out for me that one of the pins on the monitor cords was bent. I straightened the pins and all worked fine. Hope this helps, and good luck

There should be a DEGUAZE setting on the monitor that when pressed should fix your friend's problem.... good luck :-)
