My dad had a problem with drugs and alcohol....it ended up killing him. The other day me and my mom were going through some things and found my older cousins high school ring. My mom says she remembers him stealing it but thought he gave it back. We don't exactly get along with my cousin....he tends to act high and mighty. I want to return the ring to him but am afraid of making an even worse name for my deceased father. Any advice?

There was also something else....a gold watch my aunt had gave my uncle. But we have already given that back, she was very understanding.

A high school ring may be meaningless for your cousin already. But I agree it is best to set things straight. Send it to him in a little padded envelope with no return address. Does it have his name on it? Then it came from an anonymous finder.

Take it to him and tell him the truth, if he has a bad remark tell him to f*** off. Or just tell him that you found it while cleaning out the couch. You could also just go to his house and toss it somewhere so he can find it on his own later!

either mail it back to your cousin from a different zip code area or just put it in an envelope and try to slide it under his door or something. put it in his car if its kept unlocked.

mail it from another town or city that you do not live in and don't put your name on it. Have someone else address it if you are worried he will know your handwriting
