Okay I really like my bf, I mean a lot, been dating bout 6 months now. We'll graduate high school this year and we talk about moving out of our houses to get away from our parents and we'll see if we move in together or near each other. The problem is; he says things like "Whatever you think is my answer" I mean he doesn't do it all the time but I don't want him to ever do it, well I mean for stupid things I don't care cause I do that too but he does it for big stuff. Plus he is SERIOUSLY talking of giving up being a chef so he can go to my college the last two years of college so we won't have to be apart. I'm trying desperatly to convience him not to do that, that things change and though we are together now we might not be later, plus in college we can see each other often. He won't listen he's determined to give it up and come with me. I want him to do his own thing and not ruin his life following me, what should I do to help him?

FYI he's not clingy or needy or anything like it'd seem from this, he's actually the best bf I've had except for this part.

It sounds like all he is trying to do is support you, which is a good thing. A partners full support is one of the best things that you can have in a relationship so you should be happy about that. He clearly wants to be with you, and who knows you guys might be together for a very long time, so you should be doing all you can to be together. However if you think it is best for him to be doing his own thing what you could do is have a break from each other for a little while and pick up where you left off later down the track. This way the relationship isnt badly damaged and the both of you can focus on yourselves rather than each other. It may not be the easiest solution but it could be for the best. Either way I hope everything works out for you two, and i hope Ive helped. Good Luck

Tell him the truth.

Quit leading him on.

The issues is with and your inability to be truthful.

Tell him the truth - tell him that you are not interested any more and that you want to see other people. Do not expect him to get that from your little "hints."

If you do not do that, your situation will end on bad terms and you will be partially responsible. How would you like it if you were the one that is being strung along... think of it that way. Would want that person to lie to you and string you down some no-where path?

Do the right thing. If you can?

Most people run from the truth and blame others for their own weakness. So if you can't, don't worry, your like most others.

Good luck and have a happy life and remember to have fun....

Find someone who has his act together - he doesn't understand what it means to be a man. A woman needs a man who is a leader, not one like this.
