There are different med's for different people that med could work for someone but on the other hand it could turn out really bad for someone elce it's really on how your body reacts to it.

Yes..its safe. There is always an "however" That is "some" sufferers of Anxiety/Panic attacks/Depression have no problems (no side effects at all)...others do. Lexapro, liked all types of medication to treat mental illnesses, can have (only for "some") serious side effects. Strangely enough, it CAN increase (in some people) Anxiety. Discuss the possible side effects with your doctor..there ARE MANY. Generally: to answer your question.. In most instances, the drug is safe. Your doctor must have preferred to prescribe it for you, as the best treatmnent for you.

I have been taking lexapro for 3 yrs to treat anxiety and it has worked for me. I had virtually no side effects.
However I do know that when you stop taking it ...its a different story. Make sure you talk to your Doctor about how long you will have to be on it.

I have read some litterature about panic attacks. But they allways seem to have a more scientific approach and that is nothing I need in my struggle to survive those horrible panic attacks. This is a "hand on" and very practical book. I felt it was written to me. I am sure that you are going to feel the same.

Joe Barry writes exactly how I think. The examples are perfectly described. And the method is genius. I recommend this book and thanks Joe Barry for writing it. It changes your life

It like any other SSRI (selective seratonin reuptake inhibitor) such as prozac, paxil, effexor.. etc, but with unlike those 3 has no effect on norepinephrine. I have found it to have very few side effects compaired to other ssri medications. but everyone is different

I take it for depression and anxiety. It has side effects (weight gain,
low libido). There might be a better one for you if you don't have depression with it.

I take it and don't notice any difference. I have an appointment Monday to get my meds changed.

It made me sleep for 18 hours with the first dose.
