If you are taking a Cell Biology class and you need to know both animal and plant cells, the best way to learn ANY kind of information, especially information that contains the "same" info is to remember the DIFFERENCES not the similaritites. Animal cells are easier to remember than plant cells (at least for me). Then, all you have to learn is the differences like the membrane contruction, the energy used, etc. I hope this helps. Always consentrate on differences, not similarities.

Ok I am going to tell you the little tricks I have used for my biology tests. I am 11th grade and I took Biology in 10th grade. Keep in mind that these are the ones that I had to know, and it will probably be different from yours, but here are the common ones.

-Starch Granules: Stores Carbs

-Chloroplasts: Contain pigment Chlorophyl (green), which help in photosynthesis.

-Cell Wall: (CCW) Cellulose Cell Wall

-Cell Membrane: Holds entire cell together.

-Mitochondria: Produces ATP/energy

-Cytoplasm: Watery solution that contains the organelles and everything else in the cell.

-Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER): Smoothe, or Rough (has ribosomes, which make protein)

-Nuclear Membrane: Protects the nucleus. Kinda like a castle which protects the King.

-Nucleus: The "King". Decides EVERYTHING, including function.

-Golgi Apparatus: The UPS of the cell. Packages, Stores, Modifies and Delivers. "Tags" proteins so that they go to their proper destination.

-Nuclear Pore: Little pore that allows communication between the nucleus and the rest of the cell.

Hope this helps!

prepare drawing the define of each cellular sort that your attempt to submit to in concepts and then drawing in and labeling the areas. prepare till you're able to do it immediately. in case you put in the time over some days doing this, that's going to stick on your concepts. Do it on a daily basis for a week or extra before the try, no rely if it extremely is a try you're interpreting for. Then once you bypass into the try, first element, draw the cells out on scrap paper and label the areas. you will have that to examine with on an identical time as you're taking the try! I definitely have used this methodology to coach for many concentrated technical exams the place I had to submit to in concepts a great sort of stuff. It has consistently worked properly for me. the nice and comfortable button is you ought to put in the time to etch those bits of counsel on your reminiscence.

Create a fun analogy for yourself. This works with most students. Make a poster comparing the cell to something you like, such as a shopping mall, school, someone else on here did Hogwarts...compare all the organelles to something in that facility.

Here's what got me through Purdue, use word association, associate the parts of a cell, with something funny, use your imagination to visualize your funny thought.
