endocervical cells?

what is and endocervical cell exactly and what does it do? my girls just got her note from the doctor saying that she dont have any endocervical cells. what does that mean? they want her to go back in 3 months. the only info i can find by searching is info on cervical cancer but that dont tell me much. what is the effect of not having any endocervical cells?

when they do a pap, the smear includes cells from inside and outisde the cervix, this probably means that the pap specimen was incomplete and they will repeat it, good luck
