can I find my friends's telephone number through Yahoo ID?

I only got his email ID and nothing else. He works in the oil fields in Syria. and we IMed regularly for 10 days and now t is stopped. He is an Indian and works there and i trust him. I apprehend something is wrong with his net connection or at his work. Please help me.

There is no such procedure that the telephone number can be found through e-mail.
This will apply to all e-mail providers.
