Your scrotum is a more delicate piece of flesh, but this question really depends on the heat of the water, and the power of the spray.
Industrial companies use spray jets of water to cut through wood, steel, glass... spraying that on your scrotum would damage it.. and while some shower heads have a pretty powerful spray, I would not imagine them to be powerful enough to pierce your scrotum.
The heat of water from a shower can vary quite a bit too, but most hot water will be below 140 degrees F, which would be intensely painful, and might kill some sperm, but your genitals make sperm all the time, so in a few hours you would be back to normal...
If you're hoping to experiment, maybe you should aim for the thighs, and work your way in, but this is pretty freaky.

The reason that the testicles are outside the body is because they cannot function correctly at the normal body temperature.
Thus, on a hot day, a man's scrotom hangs down lower than it would on a cold day. A normal shower should not cause any problems; we're not talking about water hot enough to be intolerable on the skin, nor are talking about prolonged exposure. However, a man who wishes to become a father should avoid prolonged periods of time in a hot tub, because it has been proven that doing so can lower his sperm count, and thus greatly hamper his ability to impregnate his wife.

Interesting question lol... obviously boiling water wouldn't be too good for your genitals but if it is just bearable hot water (as in your body doesn't go red when in it) i don't think there would be any problems. The scrotom is used to changes in temperature and contracts and expands to accomodate for these changes.

I would imagine it depends how hot the water is. If you are talking just normal hot shower water. I think it would be a problem...might even feel good..But prolonged exposure to extreme hot water (hot tub) can affect your sperm count...other than that...Knock yourself out.

if its too hot you can burn the skin and you might kill any sperm in it at the time, but most likely not all of them.
