A game originating in Scotland in which two four-person teams slide heavy oblate stones toward the center of a circle at either end of a length of ice. The players are trying to make the heavy oblate stones land in the middle of the circle. A person uses a mop/broom looking to make the heavy oblate stones go faster and/or farer. It takes consentration.

It gives the Canadians a chance to hone in on their sweeping skills. I understand that this is Wayne Gretsky's Favorite sport, including Hockey. I switched channels when ever they showed it on TV during the Winter Olympics. W - A - Y TOO BORING!

Clare, I believe it was invented in Scotland. Its the broom and the little T-kettle looking device you may have seen on the Olympics. Similar to large shuffle board if your familiar with that. Good luck

It's sort of like shuffleboard, but its on ice. It is played at the winter olympics.

I agree with you,I think curling sucks. It's one sport that they can surly keep north of the border!!
