I didn't find an empty case, but my husband bought an Xbox game and when he opened it there was an 'Old Skool Rap' CD in there instead. We called the store where we purchased it and they made good on it. They said it's not all that uncommon for things like that to happen. People at the factory where they are packaged steal the games and movies all the time and either replace them with crap, or with nothing at all.

Yes, it actually happened with a movie I purchased at the local discount department store. When I took it back and explained it to them, you could tell that they did not believe me at all. They finally gave me an exchange product, but it was very embarrassing. The other customers were even looking at me and whispering. I think I was a nice shade of red before I got my movie and ran out of the store. If it ever happens again, I'll just either write to the company or take the loss..LOL.

Nope, I am usually the one stealing the DVD, not the one buying an empty case

It has never happened to me, but I always shake the case to listen for the disc. I also do this to make sure the disc didn't come free from the center mount, which means it can slide back and forth in the case and possibly get scratched.

I haven't had that happen, I shake them, to see if there's anything broken. Worst I've had were broken disk, no problem getting them replaced. They should replace yours as well. Have them open up the new one to make sure it's not empty.

Thankfully it hasn't happened. If such thing happened I think I'd go right away to the store to have a new copy or a refund.
