no they cannot, unless you have spyware/adware on your computer...then things can be of matter.

They can... through a couple different programs that can be remotely installed without the user knowing... I use VNC to check on/help with tech support of users... they can see when I take control, or I can watch their screen...
Or capture the packets if it's streaming from the internet

They can't actually 'see' the video you're playing. However, they do collect information they gather from the 'tags' on songs and videos. It's all in the Licsense Agreement you signed when installing. :-)

No, they cannot.
However, I wouldn't use Quicktime or Real, if I were you, because they're notoriously full of bugs.
