It takes the Earth approximately 24 hours to make one revolution on its axis. It's really that simple. That's why the sun rises and sets at approximately the same time every day.
We probably change days in the middle of the night because that's when most people are sleeping. It would be confusing if we changed days in the middle of daylight.

The origins of our 24 hour day can be traced back at least 4000 years, to ancient Egypt and Babylon. The Egyptians and Babylonians divided the parade of stars that appeared in the sky each night into 12 sections, marked by the various stars that rose and set that night. Why 12? Twelve is roughly the number of lunar cycles per year, so is a special number in many cultures. You can see how they would have been unconsciously partial toward particular star sets that allowed 12 divisions to the night. Then they simply had to divide the day the same way.

why start at mid night,,,,,,,,this is the time of darkness, midways into it, what do we want more darkness or the beauty of morning. 24 hours 2 & 4. tu in spanish is you, in sybology which i have barely touched as i see 2 in one form means ballance in in this yext maybe it should be left as it is 2, as in 2 ways to go as spoke of above, 4 has been in ancient languages a symbol of time, a symbol of every thing, the world being square as they thought, being the four corners of the earth......put together we have all kinds of symbols in the world to give us direction.........this one really to me , just means to think about all that is all that has been and where you want to go from here. do you like what has been or are there things you would like to be differently, god draws us to these little things to look, to think about, at that time when we really NEED to THINK abought what he has drawn us to. thimk about what you see deeply, touroughly....................a time to balance your life,as you are half way into darkness, do not go the wrong, think about every angle of every thuoght, and what they will lead to.................god bless you
