you are able to in difficulty-free words delete a question even if it remains OPEN and it is your question. to attempt this, flow decrease back to the question (click your avatar, call, or "My Profile", click "My Questions, click the question), use the PENCIL on the right end of the toolbar below the question to get entry to the drop-down modifying menu, and click delete. in case you try this, the question will be deleted from the database and the well-known public view of your profile, notwithstanding this is going to nevertheless tutor on your view of your profile, in basic terms greyed decrease back so that you will see that it is not energetic. It does no longer fee factors to attempt this. Questions IN voting or RESOLVED are the sources of Yahoo! solutions, when you consider that it is a public database, and can't be deleted, except for violations, and then Y!A receives to make the alternative, no longer you.

Bizarrely enough, I suppose this question will not get deleted but others you'd really like to post won't even make it to the board.

Depends. Sometimes they delete perfectly normal messages and sometimes they don't delete raunchy ones. There is no consistancy on this forum.
