Oh, and a model type if you have one. And where would I buy it? (I live in California.) I need something that will efficiently and safely heat a room that's 10 x 11.
Thanks!

I also own a ceramic heater and I like it much better than the one that we used to own. I'm sure that you could find them at Wal-mart or Target or any other large retail store. It doesn't give off a nasty smell and the unit does not seem to get as hot as some metal ones. It's also pretty good on the electric bills and it heats up the room very quickly.

The brand name of it is LASKO and it has automatic overheat protection which is an added safety feature

I have a Lasko digital-control baseboard heater that I really like (I raise African violets indoors). It's four feet long, and ample for a room that's 10 x 15. It's very easy to operate, and totally silent. I bought mine at Home Depot, but I'm sure there are many sources.

look for little heaters called ceramic heaters, go to lowes or any hardware or building center and if it doesnt say ceramic, ask the sales people, they are far more efficiant and not nearly the fire hazzard of metal coil heaters.
