Go to a music store and start playing, if people stop to listen to you, then you know you are good cause you've got the attention of other musicians. Another way is find a place where a lot of people congregate, tourist spot, public park. Start playing if people stop to listen, then you are really good, if you are just okay or lousy, they will just ignore you.

If you're really good you'll end up on stage with thousands of people yelling and screaming. Some of the women will bare their breasts for you. People will ask you for your autograph. Paparazzi will deny you any semblance of privacy.

If you can play as good as Eddie Van Halen or Joe Walsh, then you are good.

Check your ID. If it says, "Eric Clapton" or "Jimi Hendrix", then you're good.
