YKK is the company that makes zippers, I think it based out of Japan, there was some show called "how it's made" on cable, but I don't remember what channel it was on.

Its a brand of zipper you find on jackets - it says YKK on the tang

like if you look at some of your zippers (Especially on sweat shirts and things) they will say ykk
