Yeh.. I am not fooled by these Righties who to rubbish the brotherhood point to Obama as a credible candidate for Presidency. You bet that as soon as he ever declares his intentions, he will be described as a Pariah and a foreigner with dubious parentage.

Barak Obama rocks.
Obama has the type of drive, and the personality to be very successful. From what I've seen of him, he is a very intelligent person. We need more like him. If he would run for President, I would vote for him. He can stand on his own merit. I think he could actually bring a bit of class back to the Presidency.
I cannot say that about our current leader nor his cronies.
The right-wingers attach bad labels to anyone that does not fit into their tidy little clique. They are scared, because Barak has real potential.

At first I was going to say no. Because I think a person's name would be overshadowed by more relevant attributes.

But then I thought about George W. Bush. All he had was a name and he got elected (although with less people voting for him than his opponent).

So, maybe name is the most important thing in American politics. If this is true, good bye America.

Would that be the same Barak Obama that Ted Kennedy constantly refers to as Barak Osama? Last time I checked Kennedy was a little....scratch that....make it LARGE Lefty. He gets it wrong all the time but you want to complain about the righties?

Repukes win with character assassination, but if a truly intelligent man as Obama was to run I think he could overcome this. There is a lot of clamor among the rank and file members of the democratic party singing the praises of this representative from the state of IL.

Well it does rhyme with Osama, it could have some kind of psychological effect on some people even though they might not realize it.

I don't think so. He's very charismatic. Once people hear him speak, whatever stereotype they may have imagined based on his name will disappear.

No. It would be his leftist attitudes. He knows first hand of the poverty in Africa and how people are dying there. So his solution is to take money from the people who earn it and give it to those who chose not to.

I hope not. I'd take him over "closet conservative" Hillary Clinton.
