If you have Yhaoo toolbar is always easy to use.Just one click you can go to yahoo mail or something else.Anyway If you want to know when you have new messages, you should go to Toolbars setting(Pen picture on the top ). Then chose yahoo!mail .Next time if you have new mails ,it will have number 1.2 or 3 on maill(yahoo toolbar). Hope y can do.

to have that toolbar can be fun but really it messes up your computer. you really shouldn't have yahoo toolbar or anything else added to your web browser...i'm not sure of the others maybe like aol has one too which isn't always good to have.
tho i'm not sure about the email thing. maybe someone else can help you with that one.
