Chicken noodle soup, spicy Chinese or Mexican food, green tea, and NyQuil. Take some Airborne (dissolvable tablet, over the counter herbal remedy) before venturing into public. You'll snap out of it quicker than normal.

hmmm make sure to lay down all day
-cover your feet with warm socks
-eat watermelon, lots of soup ( potato soup with milk butter and salt is really good, the more butter the better), toast with butter, popsicles
-vitamin c
-sleep alot with your head elevated ( the more you sleep the easier you can fight a cold)
-medicine, robitussin works GREAT, sudafed shower soothers(a tablet you put in the shower that will clear your nose), benadryl, and maybe an advil if you have a fever
-try not to wrap yourself up in blankets if you are cold that will make you even more feverish, take a cold bath or lay on a cold washcloth instead)
-and this is gonna sound so gross but it works the best of all... if you have a terrible fever and you can find it where you live, there is a supository called Fever-All...

OK, here's as serious and honest as it gets. There are two ways to go to get over a cold. One, you can go to the doctor, fill the prescription he gives you, go home, take you medicine, and you'll be alright in about a week. Or, two, you can just tough it out, rest all you can, drink fluids, and let the cold run its course. Of course doing that way, you won't be over it for seven days.

An herb called Golden Seal (I recommend the fresh freeze dried type) take two to four capsules at night and 1 every few hours throughout the day with food. Also Colloidal Silver which is a natural remedy. Spray your throat and use a lot of it. Won't hurt you. lay off dairy and wheat, congestion gets better.

buy some zinc lozengers really fast, take big doses of vitamin c, and echinacea. and there is some non natural stuff that they have that you spray up your nose that is supposed to honestly help but i dont know the name of it hun. ps i think it is called something like zycam. I also do not believe in eating too much when sick. Drink broths, lots of juice, things that digest easily so that the body can use its energy to fight the cold.

Maintain warm body temperature.
Be active - you shouldn't get more than 8 hrs of sleep, and you need to keep yourself busy.
Eat foods low in milk, cheese and other dairy products
Eat alot of foods high in antioxidents; fruits, vegetables....
drink only non-acidic liquids. this means no carbonation! only purified water. oxygenated water is even better, and may even do the trick on its own! 8 cups a day. Tap water has chlorine and other nasties.

You ain't gonna believe me but it works.Cut a lemon in half and squeeze one half of it where the juice is still in the lemon, and snort it up your nose.It ain't easy to do but once you get all them juices sucked up your nose you will not have a cold anymore. And it really cleans out your sinuses.

chicken noodle soup, vitamin C, Nyquil, lots of water, and if you can muster it---do some cardio like jogging or quick walk. A good sweat will really help.
