Is Bush is the first stupid President of United States?

Question

Some say his father Bush Sr. But I don't agree he was smart to keep sensible advisers and belived less in cronism.

So is he the first?

He has an actual IQ of around 135, average for a US President. And his economy taking off as it has is proof that allowing Greenspan to step down was the right move.

Truman was dumbest. Carter was intelligent but naive and would not have what many describe as street smarts. Johnson was dumb as far as schooling but had political savvy.

Not sure about former presidents because I don't have the evidence. However, an IQ expert estimated the IQ of both Bush and Kerry based on their SAT scores and their Officer Candidacy scores in the military at the age of 22. Both were high, but Bush's was higher than Kerry's. Gore's was estimated to be higher than either.

No, depending on who you ask, others say that Reagan was or Clinton or even back to George Washington. Everyone has an opinion sometimes based on facts, sometimes based on ignorance, and sometimes based on stupidity.

This Bush seems to have done a lot of not so smart things. He is totally out of touch with our reality in this country.

No we have had several stupid presidents in the past, some even worse than him. Heck look at Millard Fillmore whose horrible policies led to a widening of the gap between north and south which caused the civil war.

Nixon comes to mind. Ulysses S. Grant wasn't all that bright, either. Neither was Polk, Hoover, or Warren Harding.

So Bush was not the FIRST stupid president we've ever had.

You should read H.L. Menken's essay on Warren G Harding...but I think Bush is even more stupid. Worse than Reagan even at the end of his term for sure. In short: yes.
