It's played everywhere in the world to a much larger degree than any other major sport. So its like a common factor most countries have and it brings them together and people enjoy a good time and soccer is a great way to come together.

Football is a worldwide game. Look, the game started in Asia, and previously the Europeans just joined in the fun. And look what you've got now- the hottest league. EPL. And even Americans are starting to play and enjoy football. For those who hate football, live with it. It's gonna rule the world!

I love it not for the sport itself, but for the many friends I've met over the years from different countries who shared a common interest with an American kid. Plus, I get more joy from scoring one goal in a pick-up game then I did scoring 5 touchdowns my senior year.

I'm glad you enjoy the sport. I liked it when I was a kid because I was good at it, and bad at baseball and basketball.
But I still don't watch it. And I think the fans themselves are more into free-style boxing and kicking and throwing and killing and rioting than they are into soccer.
But to each, his own.

Because football is an active game and not like baseball where in 2 hours you have 5 minutes of action or American football where the game stops every down.

because live games are AWESOME, and it requires a lot more talent than most other sports, like american football. its very unpredictable and watching it makes a lot of people want to go dribble around.

it simply is the most popular game/sport ever; ten or more people can have one single ball, four stones (goals), and paly it very cheaply. All sizes unlike american football/basket ball ...etc
