I have a 8 week old mixed rat /everglade snake that apparently got away from it's previous owner. I have been feeding live pinkies for the last 3 weeks, every 7 days. He had just shed his skin just a few days ago. I was wondering do they eat fish? I'm just looking for the best way to take care of this little creature that presented himself to my garden. Any advice out there? Thxs all.

Just to add he does seem very happy and content with a few bites here and there if I'm too fast with him. I can deal for now. hehe He's training me I suppose : )

They will only eat mice or rats. Keep him by his self so he does not get stressed out and stop eating. I'd suggest keep him in a 20gallon long tank for now with a heat light on one side, a watter dish in the middle and a hide on both sides. Keep the hot side about 88F and the cold side 74F.
Good luck with your rat snake!!

Yes. The best care in the world is to put that killer in the back of my truck after midnight because I have a job for him!!!!!!
