Eye exercises as prescribed by the Bates Method seem to help, but I've always been too lazy to keep them up.
I reckon if I did them every day for a while, then my eyesight would improve.
I certainly don't like the idea of eye surgery.
In fact, any surgery seems to me to be a bit out of order.
Usually the body will heal itself once you remove the source of the problem, which is either diet or some sort of parasite.

I've even heard that cleansing the bowel and intestines can help eyesight, because if they become badly coated with old stuff, which happens to everybody to some degree, then there is no way for the body to get rid of toxins, and eventually it starts to deposit toxins in the nerves to the eye.

I have afriend whose daughter was prescribed a software package to help improve her vision by exercising the muscles in her eyes. I don't remember the name, nor was I able to find it with a web search, but I remember seeing the software work. You might want to ask your optometrist about such software.

Still, as we get older, our eyes will change. I was born with about 20/400 vision and have worn corrective lenses since the age of 9, when my deficiency was noticed. I was considering laser surgery, but right now, with glasses, my vision is 20/13 and I might lose that with the surgery.

There are things that you can do to help keep from getting worse, such as avoiding continuous strain on your eyes. Use a screen resolution such that avoids the tendency to squint or strain your eyes. Use ample light when reading.

That's all I've got,

I've read that eye exercises are good for eye health. I don't know if it will improve vision but it is supposed to slow the natural degeneration of sight due to age.

The exercises are this: By moving eyes only (and not the head)
As far as you can....
look up (5 seconds) x 10
look down (5 seconds) x 10
look to left (5x10)
look right (5 x 10)
Repeat at angles... (the corners... or if you picture you field of vision as a clock... look at 2:00, then 7:00, then 10:00. then 5:00) all 5 x 10

Vitamin A-not over 10,000 IU's tho-is good-or just take beta-carotene-which converts to Vitamin A without toxicity fears. Bilberry was given to WW2 pilots, great for eyes, but by FAR the best thing, and also BY FAR the best anti-oxidant in the world, is grape-seed extract.-take only 50mgs a day-regardless of directions, as it has a 7 hour half life, and is non-mutagenic or carcinogenic, so no worries, yes, it builds up in the body. There are MANY studies on this GSE. I have read 100's of pages on it, could write a book on it.. It is GREAT for macular generation, BEST for RHEUMATOID arthritis, and also cleans out the old arteries better than anything in the world, including meds.. and is ALOT safer. TWIN LABS brand is the freshest. If someone selling says Pine-bark extract also has proanthocyanidins in it-(Indians used to give shipfarers tea from this for scurvy)-tell them GSE is half the price and has gallic esters in it-a better thing.. GSE strengthens connective tissue and makes soft tissue more supple and pliable-the artery thing too-(another benefit for).-skin too. 1 in 400 are allergic to it-and I'm one of them-bad luck. Give it a month and you'll see.

yes, and I swear it worked, it takes about a month to see improvement, take cod liver oil, not fish oil it has to be cod liver oil, go to Wal Mart and buy the bottle of capsules, it is about four dollars. Take two a day, doesn't matter when. In about a month you will see improvement.
I got migraines from the sun and was blinded by daylight and as long as I take them I can stand the sun most of the time, my hubby who is blind as a bat, took them and it improved his vision. It takes time though. So be patient and don't expect overnight results.

You can try eye exercises to improve your vision. I recently started doing eye exercises to try to improve my vision. I created a blog where I record my progress with the exercises.

I haven't seen any improvement as yet, but other people (who have experienced improvements) also post comments about their experiences as well. You can check it out at: http://improvingmyeyesight.com/blog

I had LASIK done about 5 years ago to both of my eyes. One of the best things I've ever spent my money on!
