It depends what you're looking for in terms of epic
If you want epic in terms of film score type work, then look no further than the actual scores. Gladiator has an excellent one, but frankly, any grand epic scale movie (such as Lord of the Rings) is going to have an epic sound-track.
"epic" as a genre generally refers to epic metal. If that floats your boat, than I can definitely recommend some bands to you.
Try these for starters
Rhapsody
Blind Guardian
Dragonforce
Dream Evil
Nightwish
and the song Final Countdown from Europe is sort of the consummate epic anthem.
If you like what you hear, and you haven't already discovered them, then you should start from the beginning and get some Dream Theater albums. I guarantee you you've never heard anything like this before.

Though there were 4 epics on the Use Your Ilusions, my fave was 'Estranged' by GnR
