Only CUNY has a designated major, however, one can do much better at many other universities in this field by majoring in Religious Studies, History, or Art History, or even by designing your own interdisciplinary major, which most top-tier liberal arts colleges (and some universities) will allow.
My best advice, however, is to go to a college with noted faculty in the area. Below is a website that identifies many of these folks, and provides some information on their graduate programs. Keep in mind, however, that there are lots of very strong undergraduate programs not represented here.
And just a personal opinion on universities with strengths in Byzantine studies: Bryn Mawr, University of Chicago, Catholic University, Harvard, University of Illinois, University of Maryland, University of Michigan, Princeton, University of North Carolina, University of Wisconsin.
You might also consider colleges with a Hellenic Studies major (Yale, NYU, Princeton).
