First of all what exactly are you asking. If you read your question literally you seem to be asking how gay people fall in love. The answer to that has already been answered - the same way anyone else falls in love, by simple innate attraction between two people.
However when you add '.....of their own sex' that seems to imply a how question ie 'How can gay people love someone of their own sex?' If that is the question, it is simple, by simple innate attraction between two people. Really it isn't rocket science, it isn't anything controversial or that hasn't been said a hundred times already.
One thing I would say is be clearer with what you ask in the future and then you might get answers that are relevant to what your trying to ask.

Gender is a preference. Love comes from the heart, and just like you may be attracted to tall white blonde women, the next male might like short black women with big boobs,you see thats all it is.People need to realize that love is from the heart . If you don't like to associate with gay people then you don't have to. I am straight,but i have 6 children and i know i can not discriminate against who they pick to spend their life with,as long as they are happy i am happy. Let it go everybody has feelings just like you accept everyone,and they will except you.

Come on, use a little logic here, please.
Love is love, why question it. Just accept it.
Do you love your Mother AND Father or just one of your parents? Do you love your syblings?

You don't choose the people you love.
But when you do fall in love, it's up to you to pursue that person or not.
In the case of LGBTs, they have the guts to pursue that person.
