its really hard to say. i think it depends on the childs exposure to the media and how the parents explain it.

Hence war costs about 200 billion dollars till now, I guess your government is cutting down a lot on education. So, I think it does have great affect on young Americans - I think they will start to fall down in educational standards compared to the rest of the world, except very small minority which will be able to afford expencive private education.

It is a wake up call that while all of their lives they have been safe and sound living in the greatest nation on the face of the earth.

Now they know that there are sick people out there that live their lives dedicated to killing us. Young people need to be aware of what is going on because they are going to have to deal with this for many years to come.

All of the tortured bodies, beheadings, terrorism ....very real, very scary....young Americans need to be tuned in as ugly as it is, this is the world we live in.

Effects, man they see on t.v. before it come true.Video games glorify this **** and make it look good and they wonder where kids get the idea to shoot,blow up schools and hold people hostage molesting and raping, these are the things they learn are the easy ways to defile a person.

I don't think it has any affect on our children. The cold war had 100x the affect on our children when dealing with Cuba and the Soviet Union.
