The Eyes of a Child
© Oct 2006 LV Dutton

Through the eyes of a child, we are seen as strong; through the eyes of a
child we have done no wrong. They see us as their protectors and friends. They
see us as playmates and teachers. The eyes of a child they never see disease;
they only see hurting and wonder why. They never judge or belittle, they always
want to comfort and giggle.
They want to hold our hand as we walk to the park. They want to sit with us in
the dark. A child is forgiveness it it's purest form, for god never wanted us to
feel old or worn. We know our limits but when a child is near, those limits are
tested but we never do fear. Our pain and depression fade with the wind as a
child shows us love that will never end. They want us happy and will bring us a
smile, but for the eyes of a child will only last for a while.
They see us, as we were, strong and happy, boastful and true. They see us as
healthy even when we are blue. They want us pain free and will do what they can
to help us find a way to that day. Until we can, we can live through their eyes.
For the eyes of a child, they show us our lives.

I think that was a wonderful statement. Will certainly do just that. we all need to be told that we are loved and not taken for granted. it would save a lot of heart ache in the future. God Bless you for the words of encouragement. .Keep up the good work.

More people need to think like you! Even though my son is out on his own, I still call him on a daily basis to tell him that I love him, and I talk to my mom at least three times a week{lives pretty far away} and try my darnest to go and visit her at least once a month. KUDOS to you.
