The only thing you really can do is to go through ebays dispute resolution process. Email them & they will help you out. The seller might have been going through something personal, but it could be as you said & be a scam, just contact ebay, they will resolve it for you, lucky you paid through paypal, will be easier for you to prove that you paid. best of luck.

My experience for this :

1. If you paid via paypal, file a claim through paypal first. Log in to paypal and look for the area where they allow u to claim back. I think it's called a chargeback. This only works if the transaction occurred 30 days or less. Once done, the onus is on the seller to proof that he/she did ship your item. If they do not response, paypal will charge their account and return the money to ur account.

2. File a report via ebay to stop the person from trading.

3. If you paid via credit card through paypal, call your bank and ask them to fax u a form for dispute settlement. Credit card companies have a leeway of 60 days (I think so, can't remember the exact no of days, but definitely more than the 30 days) You need to produce the proof that you actually did transact for a particular item and that you had actually tried to contact the seller but you got ignored. Usually easily done, you can forward all the email correspondence you have.

That's what I did when I bought a carton of clothing that never got shipped to me after 1.5 months. I got my money back finally.

ebay has NEVER ever given anybodys money back ONLY PAYPAL will do this . You should also file with ebay just to give the guy a bad strike - BUT it will not help you get your money back.
Paypal will ask him for a proof of shipping, If he cant provide you will automatically get you rmoney back after the alloted time . Usually 10 days . Good luck !

Definitely leave negative feedback, first of all.
On the home page, scroll all the way down and click on
"Security & Resolution Center" and report the problem-- that should give you a good start in getting the issue resolved.
I've been scammed on eBay before, I know how it much it sucks. Good luck!

I have been dealing with ebay for a few years and if it has been over 30 days since you paid for the phone contact ebay and they will resolve it for you! NEVER buy anything from people who make their comments private. It is usually a bad review

i do no longer imagine you could. that's between the hazards of shopping for on eBay. the in hardship-free words aspect you may want to do is supply them a foul evaluation, describe the mission and with slightly of success that's going to bring about lack of corporation for them. that's a he stated/she stated mission, and regrettably it is going both approaches--many eBay sellers get stiffed too. i imagine they do grant some form of coverage againt this form of aspect, yet at further cost.

In your my ebay go to items won, under action column click on drop down and select "report an item not received". It always pays to contact seller first though in case there has been a misunderstanding.

You can request the seller's phone number thru ebay. I don't remember where on the site you request it from, but I have had buyers call me before.
