When I chat, the conversations between me and my friends seem to slowly just fade out until no one is talking. I try keep the conversation going, but it seems as though some of my friends dont really care about what I have to say, or that they do, but their answers are ALWAYS stupid ones like a single "lol", or "yeah". How can I fix this?...It's driving me nuts.

You might want to find some new friends with interests that are similar to yours. That doesn't mean that you can't hang with the friends you have now but you will just have a way to switch it up every once in a while. Or maybe your friends are just idiots and don't have anything interesting to talk about in that case I wouldn't really want to hang out with them either.

You should know what topics interest you both. And maybe you always chat everyday so no topics to discussed. Try to chat them weekly or monthly. If that's the case, don't chat them. Maybe they just don't have the guts to tell you that they are not interested.

next time you're chatting tell them that you feel like a dentist. and when they ask you why say that chatting with them is like pulling teeth and be sure to place " LOL" after so they get the hint but also think your joking so there are no hurt feelings. good luck.

Stop spending so much time w/ em. Give yourself some space. Talk to new people. You could meet new people and still be friends w/ ur old friends you know.

lol that happens to everyone. And it gets so annoying when people just use "lol."
Think of a joke. Say something random. Just try not to let the convo die out.

Well when it gets to that point either I jazz it up by flirting if it is a girl and try to liven things up a bit.

well i just tell them teh truth i always say
"ok well no ones saying anthing interesting and stuff so....w.e" and then ee what happenes...or cream something funny like "I LOVE LLAMAS!!!" online and that should get a whole new convo started lol. i mean..its a LLAMA..how much can you NOT say about it! haha

take time to do something without your friends. that way, when you get together with them again, you can talk about what you've been doing and you can be genuinely interested in what they've been up to. good luck.
