Do you feel more comfortable being next to those who share the same ethnic background? Are you a person of diversity? What do you think? Do you think that change is needed?

finaldx, it sounds like your neighbors stink. I just saw a person wearing a rebel flag coat today. Funny how things come. Maybe you should start expressing your freedom of speech upon them!

Okay - I think I agree with the majority of society when I say that it really doesn't matter. My only thing I want out of the people around me is ...

*Keep you yard clean and mowed (even just once in a while would be fine if it is too much trouble)

*Don't speed down the street - kids play in the neighborhood

*Respect me and my family

*If you have an issue with another neighbor that isn't going to effect me - Please don't get me involved

*If you know something about a neighbor that will effect me or my family - Please tell me (sex offender, etc).

*Don't play your music loud after 10:00 pm

*Please don't knock on my door before 6:00 am unless it is an emergency

There - that's it - no other issues really... I don't care if you are Black, White, Oriental, Middle Eastern, Native American, Hispanic, etc.

There are a lot of stupid people out there these days - and many of them don't know how to react to change - To these people, I say "Grow Up"

One of my favorite movie lines that fits this is...

A person is smart - People are stupid

It really doesn't matter to me about their ethnic background. As long as they don't have wild party every weekend, just because it is the weekend. If a neighbor respects and can be positive influence, hey I say why not.

Race doesn't matter to me only how respectful the neighbors are. I've had white, hispanic, and black neighbors. Each one of those ethnicity's had good and bad.

It makes not one bit of difference to me, but our current neighbors are PWT and race their dirtbikes in the backyard and have howling dogs, and have loud parties outdoors to all hours, weekday and weekend, and I am sure there has got to be a rebel flag somewhere in their house. I would rather have anyone of any race there instead of them.

I'm used to diversity. I could care less about my neighbor's race. Change will always be needed.

I would live next door to any race. Race is not an issue with me at all. However, the character of the individual is.

I don't care what ethnicity they are if they are nice polite people. Good neighbors in other words.
