I'm thinking about pets

FISH :) The majority of hamsters, bite. And I mean BITE. They can really break the skin and draw blood. They are cute to look at, but they don't make very good pets. Gerbils are similar. They tend to no bite as much.

I really like fish. They are fun to watch and it is relaxing to see them swim. Even one fish, such as a Beta in a bowl is fun to watch.

I personally own a hamster. I love it! She doesn't make any noises at night because I put vegetable oil on the hinge of the wheel and it makes it silent. Even though you have to clean the cage once a week, a hamster is fun. You just look at a fish. With a hamster, you can pick it up and play with it. You can buy a wheel for it to run around your house.

I would definitely get a hamster!

Hamsters, fish are boring. We've had both fish and hamsters and hamsters are easier to care for. Our hamster doesn't smell, we clean her cage every couple of days. She is potty trained (easy to do, as they urinate in the same corner of the cage. ) Fish, while pretty, are a bit boring.

Well, I got a harness for my hamster and we loved walking around town together, I even got these cute little boots for him! I tried the same with the fish but it just didn't go as well. He completely descaled himself after about 10 feet.

Go with the Ham, hold the fish.

That is like comparing chocolate to crackers.
If you don't have spare time, get fish. Fish just swim around.
If you want to have a hamster, remember, they are nocturnal and will play all night with the proper type of gadgets in their cage. In and out of tunnels and wheels, etc.

Well I have had both and here are some comparisons.
Hamsters: You should get a baby one because you can train them not to bite usuaully, they are awake through the night so if your a deep sleeper no problem, you can play with them, they require more toys, cage is a little harder to clean, cute when they shove their faces with food, live longer depending on age of purchase.

Fish: All you really have to do with a fish is feed it flakes everyday and thats about it, they aren't to hard to clean, and really require no time at all and they can't really make to much sound in the night.

Fish. Hamsters urinate and defecate a lot, make a lot of noises at night, and live only 2 years. Fish don't make noise, many live to ten years or more. But fish require filter to keep water clean, and air pump to keep water aerated. I would go with fish.
