I have been a V fan my whole life. Wish i could go to one of their conventions.. I saw some pics from one a few years ago.. Jane Badler (Dianna),, i couldnt have recognized her without her name on the screen if i tried)

I hear they got Jane, Faye Grant back for the sequel..

Originaly they had Marc Singer but i guess he dropped out because last thing i read, he is going to have died 10 years after the events of the first series.

Did you know there was a 3rd chapter to V that was never told?

Sometime since the original story was told, Ken Johnson wrote a script for a unmade series.

The Vistiors have agreed to a peace and they are about to sign a peace treaty once and for all. ALl of the major world leaders are at the confrence but its all a lie.
On live tv the leaders are all killed. In a seuqeunce of events: a new fleet of ships shows up. the west coast (and i assume all the major charectors there) are vaporized. Some mother ships are destroyed in the fighting but we surrender in the end.

Ham Tyler was to be in it. and its where earth has trully surrendered.

I hope for this 4 hr (if he keeps to the original plan) Ken is able to get as many people back for V 2: the Second invasion (real name)

Oh and the mother ships will look much different.

I havent seen any pics but its supposed to be more lizard like looking. Also Do you remember in the Original Miniseries when they learn there was a enemy that once defeated the visitors?

well according to a interview with Kenneth Johnson, they have finally arrived. While were fighting the visitors (or however it happens) 3 creatures (dont know what they will look like) will apear. QUestion is, who's side will they be on. Will they help them... or us.

I hope they can get a lot of original casts back.. the convention proved alot are still alive.

Am very curious what Jennifer Cooke looks like today.

but they had the girl who played themother of the alien child at the convention, Jane Badler (dianna), the blonde female visitor leader, the guy who was ham tyler's friend (the big guy), and Marc Singer.

Marc Singer has lost his looks. I saw him in "LAPD to protect and serve" and he is way old.

I also understand it will become a book. Last thing i heard he is hoping 2008 but no def release date.

Nita i think your thinking of "Alien Nation"

were talking about a short lived tv movie and tv series.

I have a fantastic memory when it comes to movies. Once I've seen a movie, it's pretty much 90% in my head/memory, save for maybe small moments or specific dialog exchanges. And if I enjoy a movie, I tend to watch it a number of times (especially after if first comes out on Blu-Ray), so certain films I can pretty much quote all the dialog, start-to-finish, word-for-word. (Which has become sort-of a game with me and my friends when I watch certain movies- seeing how much of the dialog I can remember) Once I've seen a film, even if I don't see it again for a decade, I will remember most of it. BUT I do know a lot of people who will pretty quickly forget significant details of movies they've seen, or will just completely forget about them. It just depends. Some people can remember certain things, some can't. Even though I have a good brain for remembering movies, stories and odd factoids, I can barely recall anything academic I've ever learned in any of my schools. I don't even remember a lot of basic math or history, because my brain just doesn't seem to want to process of remember those sorts of facts.

V The Second Generation News Update
Update: 10/2/06

Many people are naturally wondering why getting the new V sequel made into a book or mini-series could possibly take so long -- unfortunately it's the nature of the business these days.

Warner's Legal Department is trying to get the complicated domestic license deal closed on the novel and they assure us it will happen within the month.

They are also beginning to seek a sale for the foreign rights to the novel.

Warner Home Video is working diligently to help cobble together the necessary nineteen million dollar funding for the mini-series. Hopefully in this lifetime.

Yes, I remember it. I also own the DVD.

The sequel won't suck because it will be done by the creator, Kenneth Johnson, and it takes place twenty years after the original 1983 mini-series with plans for members of the original cast to be in it.
The book will come out first, then the mini-series.

Yes, for some reason our teacher showed in to us in class....in ALGEBRA class of all places. He was sort of an alien fanatic. I didn't know they were remaking it!! Hope it is decent...at least the special affects will be better than the original! I remember the scenes of them eating rats that was pretty bad, you could tell the faces were fake!

I do remember it - didn't they make it into a series? I think one of the aliens was played by the guy who played Freddie Kruger (right?) A "second generation" might be OK (especially for someone like me who vaguely remembers the first cuz I don't remember it well enough to compare them)

I would prefer that they come out with more movies like Sister Act or Grumpy Old men. I like to see real life things rather then garbage that doesn't exist.
