Don't try to cover, try to cure it.
I use Neo Strata and it works on me.

I just started using Bare Escentuals make up and it is incredible. The starter kit comes with the 2 shades of the base powder which doubles as a concealer, it comes with an all over color called Warmth, and something called Mineral Veil which gives the whole look an airbrushed look. By the end of applying, you look flawless. The make up is all natural so if you fall asleep with it, it doesnt hurt your face. It actually helps your skin and is great for blemishes, covering them and helping them heal since youre not clogging your pores even more with some thick chemical-filled makeup. Its a powder that is more like a velvet after you apply it and it doesnt crease in your skin. The best part is, you dont FEEL like you have make up on. The kit even comes with 3 brushes and the DVD to learn how to apply it. I first learned about it on QVC and I could not be happier with this makeup. You can check it out at Sephora too.

I'm sure you're beautiful the way you are with the blemishes you speak of! But, in the case that you want to cover them up, I suggest using a combination of foundation, concealer, and powder. Put concealer and foundation on to cover the spots, and then powder to set the concealer and foundation (so it will stay). If you want a more subtle look, you can purchase matte powder. For foundation I recommend Nars. It is extremely good.

ok I have problem skin and this is what I do in the morning when I apply my make-up.
1) Use Maybelline Blemish Control Concealer, and apply to red, or noticable areas.
2)Use Neutrogena Skin Clearing, Blemish Fighting, Oil Free Make-Up, apply all over you face.
3) Finish with Maybelline Pure Powder Finishing Powder, and apply over where you look shiney, or where you think you need it.
4)Now finish applying you make-up, you face should look flawless!

I concur with 'go to a store.' A good one, where you can get some advice and, more importantly, test stuff out. A spot covered in make-up that doesn't match your skin is going to be worse than just a spot. And, it'll be easier to check out stuff from a range of lines/prices.

I also concur with 'NeoStrata.' Not to suggest it as a miracle cure (and re 'ProActiv,' go here: http://www.cbc.ca/streetcents/archives/guide/2001/01/s02-01.html), but any good glycolic acid treatment should at least leave it reasonably smooth and not too irritated; critical if you want the concealer to work well.

Finally, get a brush -- a little thing designed for use with concealer. Makes it much easier to apply correctly.

Well i use Maybelline's pure makeup. works great for any skin type.
the pure foundation is 50% waterbased and oil free. wont clog pores. and it wont cause breakouts. has long lasting coverage. has vitE, alow, chamomile to soothe skin. its sooo skin friendly. i LOVE this product. my classmates and shcoolmates have commented me and siad i look blooming. :) its a gel/liquid foundation by the way.

after you apply the foundation, you can use the pure concealer to cover those scars or whatever. but the foundation can give good coverage already. but to be sure about the coverage, use the concealer also.

after concealing, touch up with the pure powder. that also includes aloe, chamomile, and vitE to soothe skin. just pat lightly onto your face. whenever you need to retouch, just use the powder. no need to apply foundation again and again. i love maybelline's puremakeup!!!!

honestly the best way is to try and get rid of them ... if they get really bad go see a dermatoligist..it takes like 10 minutes and they perscribe heavy duty perscriptions that work fast! if its mild try somthing like pro activ with a 3 step process...

but if your in a pinch then try maybellene new york concealer stick works well and then brush a light powder or bronzer over the top. if its still red then take a little of your blush and mix it into the powder to give other areas of your face color.

First use a primer, then concealer normally one shade lighter than your skin, then foundation & powder, finally take a wet sponge & dab lightly over face for flawless finish.
