Congressman Foley says he was pushed into homosexuality when he was abused by clergy as a teenager... I guess he must have liked it.

They could experiment and have a gay experience but that doesn't make them gay. Straight guys I know have had sex with other guys for money, when they were drunk, or whatever, and they are not gay (as in prancing and such) A person likes what he likes. If they never experience gay sex, then chances are they will not be gay, but if they experience it at an early age, then yes they might like it. Sex feels good from anyone during the teenage years. I believe people are born the way they are, not by choice. I know lots of gay guys that would choose a much easier life with a woman if it was as easy as choosing what you like. If someone tried to make you like something, then you will probably resent that, and hate that lifestyle.

To be or not to be is the real question here and there is no beating around the bush to avoid it, you are gay or you are straight. You cant be born with the "Gay Gene" or "Gay Disease", if that is the case then there would be a Medical Cure for it so no one could suffer from the torment or toruter or intolerance of being either or. I suggest reading the following article as it is taken from the South Georgian campous newspaper

I dont not believe that a teenager can b made gay. There has to be something inside of them already that may b a sign that they r gay. you can not blame it on anything else. That's 1 thing that sometimes u can't help.

Of course not. Teenagers can recognize that they are gay, but homosexuality is something a person is born with, and thus someone cannot just become gay.

being age 36 now--i can honestly say a person cant be made gay--i have known at an early age of 8 i liked other boys--even though i didnt know what the gay word was or what it meant---
i can say that every person near me --mom dad and 2 brothers aunt uncle and alot of str8 friends never convinced me otherwise-that str8 was the way-
i became sexually active at a young age---i was molested and raped from theage of 12 to 15--i knew i was gay then thats what got this person to believe thathecando anything to me--as i was a boy growing into a teenager that did everything i could to hide the fact i was gay--he knew this and forced me to have sex with him or he would tell my folks i was gayandhe saw me with other guys--
this was a time in my area that hiding the fact you were gay or even curious about a guy--ws kept hidden--so i did as he asked and kept to my self--
email me at lhardwick69 at frontiernet.net and letme know whats wrong and why you having this problem

I don't think a teenager can be made to become gay it is something that is already embedded in them. it starts well before the teenage years.

there is one man with a very interesting theory that men become gay because they have no relationships with their fathers and super-close relationships with their mothers. he wrote a book and claims that he used to be gay. now he's married with kids. i wish i could remember his name.
but lots of (maybe all) gay people are gay by genetics, plain and simple. and the other 90% of people are straight by genetics, plain and simple. it's possible that SOME gay people are gay by environment and not genetics, but there's no solid way to tell as of now. however there is solid evidence that many gay people are gay from birth, because they have normal childhoods and just "know" they're gay the way straight people "know" they're straight.
so in short, my answer is maybe, but any scientist or researcher as of 2006 would say no.

No. People are born that way. They know that they are gay at an early age. Sometimes teens are scared about their sexuality but nothing can make you gay.
