What do you like to do? If you like to shop, name her Macy or something. If you like to play sports, name her Mia, or along the lines of that. If you are crazy and spontaneous, maybe Silly or Doodles might be good.

If you want to change her name without confusing her, use the name more often. Instead of "Come here, Lady! Lady?!" use the name you decide. Make sure no one else calls her lady. Constantly say her name. When you "talk" to her, always say, (the name you choose).

Also, studies have shown that by naming a dog a 2 syllable name, it is easier for the dog to comprehend the name. Names like "Dot" or "Angela" would not be a good name for a dog. "Dot" would be confused with commands like "Stop". "Angela" is too much for the poor dog to remember.

Good Luck!

dustmop?

J/K... As with all my pets I'd give her something more original than the generic dog names (cuddles, pom pom, etc)... Just pick a human name that you like that's different... Makes things more interesting...

Carmellita, as someone mentioned above, sounds good... It's cute, but not so common....

My aunts pomeranian just passed away, and her name was Ginger, Ginji for short. She also had one years ago before that, named Dandy.

I was quite angry when I found your post in Fashion & Accessories instead of Animals or Dogs etc. Is this just a careless mistake or do you consider animals accesories?

You can't change an animals name, thats mean, it will confuse her, just leave at lady.

I wouldn't change it if she knows it already. If she doesn't how about nugget , peanut, skittles, littlebit, snickers,
baby girl, lolly as in lolly pop, or
tinker. Any of those sound good?
