NO iceberg lettuce. Only dark, leafy greens like the romaine. Also endive, cilantro, parsley. Check out this link for a complete list:

Also, the Lagomorph Lounge is a VERY active and loving rabbit community. Check it out. :P

ONE MORE THING: I read your previous post about your rabbit running around his cage at night. You got some crappy replies, so I figured I'd give my two cents here. My rabbit (and past rabbits) did the same thing. He just wants exercise and to be let out. It also can mean he's happy, especially if he does little twitches as he runs around. My current boy does the same thing every night at like 3 in the morning and it drives me nuts cause I can't let him out while I sleep. :P Try getting a pen or run or stuff called NIC Cubes to build a play pen for him to run in.

Select at least three kinds of vegetables daily. A variety is necessary in order to obtain the necessary nutrients, with one each day that contains Vitamin A, indicated by an *. Add one vegetable to the diet at a time. Eliminate if it causes soft stools or diarrhea. Once a rabbit is 6 months old, it should be receiving at least 2 cups of fresh veggies a day.

Alfalfa, radish & clover sprouts
Basil
Beet greens (tops)*
Bok choy
Broccoli (mostly leaves/stems)*
Brussels sprouts
Carrot (feed very sparingly!! Carrots have a lot of sugar in them and can make a rabbit very sick very quickly as a result!!) & carrot tops*
Celery
Cilantro
Clover
Collard greens*
Cucumber
Dandelion greens and flowers (no pesticides)*
Endive*
Escarole
Green peppers
Kale (!)*
Mint
Mustard greens*
Parsley*
Pea pods (the flat edible kind)*
Peppermint leaves
Raddichio
Radish tops
Raspberry leaves
Romaine lettuce (no iceberg or light colored leaf--due to the high water content these have no nutritional value)*
Spinach (!)*
Watercress*
Wheat grass

(!)=Use sparingly (No more than twice a week). High in either oxalates or goitrogens and may be toxic in accumulated quantities over a period of time

Fruit is okay, but remember that it is a treat, and should be fed sparingly. The rule on fruit is no more than 1 tablespoon of fruit for every 5 pounds of body weight.

My vet said stay away from iceberg lettuce, there is not enough nutritional value in it and can give them the runs. The veggies you are giving are good. Also Timothy Grass is better than the pellets.

Enjoy your bunnies. My cat liked playing with mine, they would sleep next to each other.

Any kind is good as long as it does not have pesticides. I think I remember hearing somewhere it is not good to give them fresh veggies until they're six months old.
