I was a sceptic at first, but Bare Minerals is fantastic. I always thought that there was no way a powder could cover like a foundation. My friend got married recently and I was in her wedding and the makeup artist used a powder foundation and I was hooked. It covers amazingly but at the same time looks completely natural. And the best part is that you don't have to blend it so no more embarrasing makeup lines on the chin bone. It can be a little pricey, but you use so little of it, that it lasts a really long time. If you have a store near you called "ULTA" go there. They will do a make over for you to try it before you purchase it. I guarantee you, you'll love it.

I like a light foundation myself, and have never felt comfortable with any liquid foundations. I have been using a light powder foundation from a company called Bare Essentuals for some time now. It is a very light, natural and soft look.I do not think that it brings out the fine lines. I find it to be a very good product, perhaps you will too.

A really good sheer foundation is Flirt! Cosmetics. They go on so smooth and covers flawlessly. You only need a little bit. They have a variety of shades. You can try everything at Kohls. They have makeup removers, testers and good lighting. Make sure you step outside and look at your face in a compact mirror in natural light to make sure it matches your skin tone. You can get them on sales for $10. It's normally $12. Good luck!

I am totally in love with L'Oreal liquid foundation, Its light, doesnt clog pores but seems to make them disappear! And there are many shades to choose from so you can match ur skin color. Its like $20 a bottle, but its well worth it and a little goes a LONG way! Its nice and light and doesnt blotch or make lines or chunk in the crevases of your skin as some foundations do. ITs great!

Higher end cosmetic companies make a moisturizer that you use before you put on makeup. It's designed to fill in the fine lines so your makeup looks more smooth. Clinique makes one. Hope this helps. I use Clinique "super fit" foundation and I find it goes on very light and covers the best. I have a red birthmark on my face and it's the one I've found that covers best.

1. Loreal True Match
2. Cover Girl Advanced Radiance in med. coverage or tinted moisturizer.
Dream Matte Mousse is a good idea, but not if you have dry skin. It is geared for Combination/Oily skin. The Matte in the description is a mattifyer, which blots oil and keeps shine minimal.

Definitely you want to go to Macy's (or someplace comparable) and see the folks at the Benefits counter. They will work very hard to figure out the best products for you. The names are pretty cool (like Dr. Feelgood) and the prices aren't bad. Benefits is owned by twin sisters in the Bay Area and they are very socially oriented, also...

I would try a tinted moisturizer if you're not used to liquid foundation. But I love bare minerals. It feels very natural and it has good coverage. Don't forget to moisturize your face first.

Avon has a minerals foundation. Also, the Beyond Color line of AVON products actually plump up the lines as well as offer coverage.

I would try a mousse foundation or else there is a super natural foundation from covergirl--i think-- and water replaces the oils, so it's not as heavy
