I have the sound max 4xl software for my soundcard. I hooked up a y cable to it so i can play it on my stereo but only comes out of one speaker. Theres nothing wrong with the speaker or stereo either. I also tried using headphones and again only one speaker plays.Does anyone know what i can do to to enable both speakers to play?

Hi. Did you check the volume properties on the computer? Start->Programs->Accessories->Entertainment and click volume control. Check to see it the tabs are balanced. U can click Options Then properties or Advanced controls and check for more settings.

Sometimes the wire to plug into the output socket may be slack or the socket itself cud be warn out due to plugging in and plugging out. What u can do is play a song and play up with the wire/s and the socket to see if that is the problem. Laterz.

Start, Settings, Control Panel. Double click Sounds and audio devices, and click Advanced under Volume, and make sure the balance slider is centered.
